Our Roots: From East Coast Car Shows to Nationwide Direct Retail

Before we launched our direct-to-consumer platform in April 2022, the only way to get one of our authentic plates directly from us was to catch us on the road.

For years, we traveled across the country, setting up our vendor booth at major European automotive events. You may have seen us pressing plates and talking shop at massive enthusiast gatherings like Euro Tripper down in Florida, or at VW and Audi shows across North Carolina, Helen, GA, and Eureka Springs, AR. We loved being on the ground and connecting directly with the European car community.

But we realized that making you wait for the next automotive event in your area just to get a proper, stamped aluminum plate wasn't enough. We wanted to bring that exact same car-show energy and authentic, 35-ton press quality directly to your driveway, year-round.

That is why we launched GermanPlateGuy.com as a dedicated, direct-to-consumer retail shop. Now, instead of waiting for us to roll into town, our Knoxville, TN manufacturing shop ships authentic, DIN-standard custom German plates directly to your door—typically within 24 business hours.
